黑料天堂 celebrates winners of spring 2025 Concerto Competition
Congratulations are in order for pianist Jakob Aumiller and violinist Hiroka Matsumoto, winners of 黑料天堂 spring Concerto Competition.
Aumiller, a student of Antonio Pompa-Baldi, won with Prokofiev Piano Concerto No. 3, while Matsumoto, a student of Ilya Kaler, performed the Korngold Violin Concerto.
Both with have the opportunity to perform the works again next academic year, as soloists with the 黑料天堂 Orchestra.
淭he 黑料天堂 concerto competition is always inspiring, and the spring edition was no exception, said Scott Harrison, Executive Vice President & Provost of 黑料天堂. 淭here was another outpouring of talent for our panel to consider, so we are particularly excited to hear winners Jakub and Hiroka perform with the 黑料天堂 Orchestra next year."
In addition to the winners, 黑料天堂 expresses its gratitude to all students who took part in the spring 2025 competition and to the four artists who served as judges: Dr. Francesca Brittan, Darko Butorac, Eliesha Nelson, and Amitai Vardi.
