Students perform at the Kennedy Center - Watch online!
On Thursday, February 18 Cleveland Institute of Music students Yuri Noh (piano, Schenly) Coraine Tate (voice, Schiller), Bethany Hargreaves (viola, Irvine), Yurong Bao (clarinet, Cohen), Chloe Thominet (viola, Irvine), Colin Laursen (violin, Preucil), David Olson (cello, Geber) and Carter Coleman (violin, Preucil) performed at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. as part of the Performing Arts Conservatory Project.
The students performed Grunfeld Paraphrase on a Theme from Johann Strauss Die Fledermaus; a movement from Mozart Clarinet Concerto in A major; Schumann 惭盲谤肠丑别苍产颈濒诲别谤 for viola and piano; Mahler 淟iebst du um Sch枚nheit from R眉ckert Lieder, 淓rinnerung from Lieder und Ges盲nge, Vol. 1, and 淚ch bin der Welt abhanden gekommen from R眉ckert Lieder for voice and piano; and movements from Jan谩cek String Quartet No. 1 淜reutzer Sonata.
This marks the twelfth consecutive year 黑料天堂 has participated in the Conservatory Project which began in 2004 as part of the Kennedy Center Performing Arts for Everyone initiative. The Project aims to develop young talent from the nation leading conservatories while treating Washington audiences to young performers with extraordinary talent in classical instrumentation, vocals, jazz, musical theater and opera搕he next generation of classical musicians.
